As a Conservative, Christian, law blogger I have much sympathy with the gender critical movement. I am the author of multiple articles on that side of the debate, for example, “Trump Boosted as American College of Paediatricians Describes Transgender Ideology as Child Abuse”, “High Court Judge Saves 7-Year Old Boy from Being Forced to be Transgender by Abusive Mother” and “Why Straight Men Should Support Lesbians and Feminists Over ‘Drop the T’”. So I was surprised to hear that Joshua Moon was claiming I was assisting a person suing Caroline Farrow as McKenzie Friend (and should, “die”) … because I am not. No offence to either side – but I have nothing to do with Farrow related litigation. The incident has however reluctantly forced me to scrutinise Farrow’s online activities – which I fear may reveal a serious safeguarding failure by the Roman Catholic Church. In my opinion, based on the materials below, Farrow and those closely associated with her have no place in a Christian ministry or anywhere near vulnerable people.

Caroline Farrow is a member of the website Kiwi Farms, a site she describes as, “doing the Lord’s work” and, “the basest site in the world”. This is an unusual and concerning way to describe a site that has promoted and facilitated paedophilia, stalking (including child stalking) and terrorism.

According to her profile (archive), Caroline joined the site on 13 March 2020, she has over two and a half years of posting and 181 posts. The profile also describes her as a, “bulwark” of the Catholic Church. So, her Catholicism is very much associated with the site. So, what is it, exactly? What is this site that Caroline has chosen to endorse in such an enthusiastic (and therefore, it is to be inferred, informed) way?

Kiwi Farms was set up, in the owner’s own words on the site’s now banned official Twitter account for the purposes set out left.

“Gossip and exploitation of the mentally handicapped for amusement purposes.”

A good example of the, “exploitation” is the site’s treatment of an autistic person called Christine Weston Chandler. Chandler used to live in Ruckersville, Virginia and has been the focus of Kiwi Farms’ interest to the extent they used Chandler’s postal address on their accounts at times – hence the Ruckersville location in the image to the left.

Chandler was stalked on an industrial scale. Female members of Kiwi Farms and its precursor CWCKi would pretend romantic interest and record phone calls or even meetings with them. This included phone sex. The recordings would be shared online for pleasure. This behaviour was well exposed by Margaret Pless in New York Magazine, “Kiwi Farms, the Web’s Biggest Community of Stalkers” (archive).

Vulnerable Chandler suffered as a result of the stalking that continued throughout the latter part of their minority and into adult life. Eventually Chandler was arrested after a female member of Kiwi Farms persuaded him to have sex (or claim to have had sex) with his very elderly mother (archive).

Given the stated purpose of Kiwi Farms, which is also extremely well covered in the media, I asked Caroline Farrow, via her solicitors AI Law – Question 1 – Is stalking the disabled and encouraging sexually activity for the purposes of mockery, “the Lord’s work”?

No reply (and no denial) was received. I got a read receipt from the solicitor and there were some panicked posts on Twitter about Caroline complaining to multiple police forces, but, no denial. So maybe she just believes that. I personally disagree. I kind of think that’s sort of heresy. Like, as a Christian I don’t like to set myself up as some kind of arbiter of God’s will and correct doctrine but I would fear, if I advocated such a view, the Most High might get kind of irate about it.

Let us be clear, this is not some obscure niche thread buried in a corner of the Kiwi Farms website that most users will not have seen, this is the stated and historic purpose of the site. Any Google search will bring this up, and quickly. Farrow has been a member for over two years.

Of course, exploiting the mentally disabled sexually is not the limit of Kiwi Farms’ wrongdoing. The site, and other satellite sites also run by Moon in the same, ‘family’ have been repeatedly found by multiple organisations to contain Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSAM). As an example, in 2016, the site was removed from multiple hosts such as Gandi.net which expressly said it contained child pornography.

At the time, a whistleblower was sending people what they claimed were links. Josh has subsequently claimed it was just one meme, but my source was adamant there were multiple photographs of minors. It would be unusual for the operator of a forum to have their hosting terminated for a single picture. In this case however, Gandi.net are very clear it was serious enough to request external verification.

Of course, this is not the first time Josh has been linked to child pornography. As a user of the forum, Blockland, Moon made very serious threats of mutilation and also stated that he enjoyed masturbating over Neko Shota (cartoon child pornography). When challenged, Josh admitted to these allegations on Kiwi Farms. However, it is all okay, he avers, because he was only 19 when he threatened the woman, whose chilling account is as follows –

“I remember after he found out my last name, he said that he’d show up to my house while I was at school, shoot my dad, and wait for me to get home. Then he’d subdue me, cut off each individual digit with a knife heated in hot grease so that it’d cauterize as it cut and I wouldn’t bleed out. Then he’d cut off my clitoris and my labia, and then rape my ass until I shat myself. Then he’d just leave me to starve to death or something once all my appendages and my genitals were sliced off and he’d beaten me sufficiently.”

Moon was 23 in 2016 when Gandi.net removed his site due to, “pedophilia” content. The same year, Josh was also running a little used image board called 16chan. I hasten to add that this is no connection to the 16chan running at a different URL in the current year 2022, which has no connection to Josh.

16chan was part of the Kiwi Farms ‘family’ and was linked at the bottom of the Kiwi Farms’ main page (archive). The spin-off site 16chan claimed to stay within the letter of the law, which means it did not allow photographs of children. It did, however, allow a board which contained detailed stories about children being abducted, raped and murdered because these are legal to possess in the US and the UK.

One story on 16chan’s /phile/ board concerned a character called, “Big J” abducting a five-year-old, wounding them and raping them to death through the wound.

Anyone could write slash-paedo fiction on 16chan. The site rules allowed it (archive here). 16chan rules stated that –

“Pedophilia must be contained within boards exclusively about child fetishism” – [so no disrupting the zoophilia forum you naughty paedophiles!]

“Boards about pedophilia must be text-only. No images.

[…]

This does not extend to drawn images, unless drawn in the likeness of a real child (as per US federal law).”

In case anyone missed it, these rules, with … curious precision … allow Neko Shota. You know cartoon pornography of underage porn that Josh previously said he enjoyed.

The /phile/ board on 16chan also allowed links to sites allegedly containing, ‘teen’ models. Your author did not follow the links so readers will just have to guess what they contained. What can it have been?

Moon’s 16chan was shut down for lack of interest. However, Joshua Conner Moon tried again in 2020 with 9chan. This is significant, because the announcement and controversies occurred after April 2020 at a time when Farrow was a user of the Kiwi Farms site and would likely have seen the high profile announcement. Can readers guess what the rules said about CSAM?

Members of Moon’s site also took credit for an attempt to break into the home of Jess Phillips MP and hosted detailed stories of the rape and murder of female politicians and their children. At the time Josh was running the 9chan site which allowed cartoon child pornography, Josh was 27.

I asked Caroline Farrow some questions about this content.

Question 2 – Is hosting child pornography, “the Lord’s work”?
Question 3 – Is abducting 5-year-olds, cutting holes in them, and raping them to death through said holes, “the Lord’s work”?

No reply was received. Ms Farrow has not altered her position as to Moon.

Of course, Kiwi Farms members did not confine themselves to the internet in their attacks on minors. Forum member William Atchison carried out a school shooting.

Kiwi Farms members engage in stalking and monitoring of minors. They have a policy of same, which is expressed as a joke, except they, y’know, do it.

Kiwi Farms members, for example, collected pictures of academic Marian Aanerud’s son. An underage boy – not transgender as far as I am aware. More recently, the site was involved in a ‘harassment’ campaign against a 9-year-old (archive). In the latter case, the child was said to be transgender and I can see why some people, rightly or wrongly, might have good faith safeguarding concerns. I just do not see how that can possibly be helped by members of a stalking site run by a slavering snuff-pederasty fantasist. It is to be inferred, in my opinion, that some of the users of Kiwi Farms who collect images of children – even legal images – or who monitor said children, do so for the purposes of sexual gratification.

Question 4 – Is stalking children, “the Lord’s work”? No reply was received from Ms Farrow.

Kiwi Farms also hosts involuntary pornography of adults, such as a young woman (again, a heterosexual born female, not a transgender person) named Julie Terryberry. After Julie Terryberry committed suicide, they gloated about targeting her family for more, posthumous stalking.

Question 5 – Is involuntary pornography, “the Lord’s work”?
Question 6 – Is hounding young (CIS) women to suicide, “the Lord’s work”?
Question 7 – Is subsequently taunting the family, “the Lord’s work”?

No reply was received from Ms Farrow.

Aside from a long and well documented history of permitting CSAM, Kiwi Farms has a strong and very public history of glorifying terrorism and promoting terrorist material.

Joshua Moon, of course, has gone so far as to assist terrorists. When Brenton Tarrant shot dead 51 Muslims at prayer in mosques in Christchurch New Zealand, he livestreamed the shootings on Josh’s old website 8chan. Josh distributed a video of the killings and the shooter’s manifesto on Kiwifarms. When asked by New Zealand law enforcement to retain and disclose information about persons viewing and distributing the material, Moon refused. He told the police officer he did not care about New Zealand’s, “faggot laws” and that he personally was distributing the material, as Australian national news reported (archive).

In October 2022 there was a shooting outside a gay bar in Slovakia. Again, Kiwi Farms hosted and distributed the shooter’s manifesto. Moon refused to remove the manifesto when asked to do so by the Slovak authorities (archive) two weeks ago in November 2022.

No reply was received from Ms Farrow.

Moon’s egregiously vile activities are not a secret. His own forum members regularly mock him about Neko Shota. His behaviours in relation to terrorism are the subject of forum announcements, national and international news. It is hard to believe that Caroline Farrow could be a member of the site for two years, have 181 posts and be ignorant of all this. Furthermore, users on Twitter have regularly berated her for her membership – even writing articles about the site and sending @ tweets to Farrow making clear to her what it is (archive). There are multiple examples of many users messaging Farrow about the site over multiple years. Here is another (archive), which is part of a thread that specifically draws Farrow’s attention to the terrorism issue, with a screenshot of an article about Christchurch. Farrow participates in threads where she chats with users going by such names as, “Mr Stabby and Arson”.

Furthermore, of course, Kiwi Farms has been down for long periods this year due to repeated attempts to close it, due to it being banned and deplatformed. One of the biggest stories was the termination of service by Cloudflare. In their blog (archive), Cloudflare stated,

“[…] we believe there is an unprecedented emergency and immediate threat to human life unlike we have previously seen from Kiwifarms or any other customer before […].

“[…] Kiwifarms has frequently been host to revolting content. Revolting content alone does not create an emergency situation that necessitates the action we are taking today. […] Over the last two weeks, we have proactively reached out to law enforcement in multiple jurisdictions highlighting what we believe are potential criminal acts and imminent threats to human life that were posted to the site.”

Caroline Farrow has in the past claimed she joined Kiwi Farms to answer allegations against herself. In more recent times however, after two years of membership and participation she has been extremely and generally positive about the site as a whole and the owner, paedophile sadist Joshua Conner Moon, whom she says has earned her, “respect”.

Farrow states that she uses the site to, “decompress” and, “laugh”, that it is doing, “the Lord’s work” and below she calls it the, “basest site in the world”.

So, in conclusion, whilst she claims to be a respectable Catholic activist, Farrow is a member of one of the vilest and most unimaginably depraved websites in the world, which is hosted and run by a notorious paedophile sadist. She has had numerous opportunities to learn about it, she has been a member for over two and a half years, and she has been alerted to its nature and history by critics and Twitter users over a period of years. She is an intelligent, educated woman.

Caroline Farrow derives laughter from the site, she uses it to, “decompress”. She says so. She finds it relaxing. She approves of it. She called it the, “basest site in the world”. She says the owner has earned her respect. Who on earth finds a site containing terrorist, stalking, exploitation and paedophile material ‘relaxing’? Who would respect its revolting owner, a man who by his own admission views and hosts paedophile material, including snuff (child rape and murder) material? Who could look at a site whose members boasted of hounding victims to suicide, and call it, “the Lord’s work”?

Based on the facts above, including Ms Farrow’s statements and the information available to her, indeed drawn to her attention, in my opinion Farrow knows exactly what Kiwi Farms is, and furthermore it is to be suspected that Ms Farrow is a member of the site because she derives gratification from its content. Farrow joined, participated in and gushingly praised a website whose raison d’être is abuse, over a period of years. It is reasonable to suspect she did so because she enjoyed the abuse content. I am expressly averring what libel lawyers call a, “Chase Level 2” meaning, or equivalent opinion here. Based on her conduct, there are grounds to suspect Caroline is a bad’un.

In my opinion, based on the facts stated above, Farrow has no place in the Catholic Church, an institution with a long and tragic history of abuse and exploitation. Her online behaviour is an enormous red flag. I would call for police to confiscate and check her hard drive, except, y’know, they have (archive).

Regardless of her motives, whether or not Farrow personally derives gratification from the site, she has offered cover and respectability to a monstrous atheist paedophile of exceptional horror and depravity, as well as his explicitly malevolent stalking and, “exploitation” enterprise. Indeed, in one post Farrow notes that her status as an activist and mother lends some, “respectability” to the Kiwi Farms (archive). She knows exactly what she is doing.

Caroline Farrow is married to Robin Farrow, a Roman Catholic Priest. She is a campaigns director of Citizen Go, a large Catholic activist group. She is connected to the church and Catholicism at multiple levels.

Recently, Dr Jacob Breslow, a trustee of Mermaids had to resign from that role after giving a talk to an academic group, B4U-ACT with concerning positions on paedophiles and paedophilia (archive). In the opinion of your author, the material hosted by Kiwi Farms, enjoyed by its owner and the targeting of minors by the group is immeasurably worse that anything Breslow and the B4U-ACT crowd have done. Kiwi Farms is very much after-having-acted-and-then-some. In your author’s opinion, Farrow is far more deserving of exclusion and shunning for her involvement in Kiwi Farms over more than two and a half years than Breslow is for his one talk to B4U-ACT.

The Catholic Church needs to show leadership and exclude Farrow, as well as anyone closely associated with her. If its local and national leaders fail to act they deserve scrutiny, both institutions and individuals. And they will get it.
